Dude!!! That hearse is just waiting to get "pimped"!!!!

If it were still an option, I would scrap the idea of the computer and just stick one of those widescreen LCD's in the back or even a projector...

Im thinkin of a cut down version of my previous plan for ol' granada ive picked up, probably lose the dolby surround and go for a more standard type MP3 playing install.

possibly, but not recently, have a mate who lives up there, but havent been up there for a few months, and not at all in either of these too cars.

I was tempted to fit out the capri, but its a bit small in the boot, and i like me track and drift days, probably wouldnt do the install any good!!

going for an install in the pimp mobile i reckon, then i can tow the capri to events in luxury!

You can get around this if needed though. You know the holes in the motherboard around the processor socket? If you put standoffs (same as the ones you use to mount the motherboard) in the case that will line up with those and use those standoffs to mount your heat sink you can put as big of a heatsink as you want (including one of these: SLK-947U, SLK-948U,XP-120, CL-P0015-CL-P0025, although most will have no need for one). In doing this the weight stress will be kept off the motherboard and transfered into the case.

The 2.8 is the one I would have liked. I had to start with a 1.3 MKIII as a starter car way back in 1986. Once I passed my test swapped the 1.3 engine for a 1.6. But damn I still wanted the 2.8.

Would really have loved to get my hands on one of those original Tickford conversions.

I'd love to put a turbo on my 328 but at anything between £6K to £10K, I don't think so

The mass of the heatsink is only an issue for 'LARGE' heatsinks. ont of the OEM heatsinks should be fine. Just don't use the big ones for air cooled overclocking. Some of those are over a pound of metal.
