Which "touchscreen software" does everyone use?

Hello, I'm fairly new to carputers (I'm building my first one as we speak!)

Just wondering what everyone is using for your "touchscreen software"?
I downloaded Frodoplayer and MediaCar and I'm still trying to figure out which one I would use. I'll start by asking some questions:

    1. Which one do you use, and why? What do you like about it?

    2. Besides the ones listed on this site (Frodoplayer, MediaCar, etc) Are there any other softwares like these that I can DL for free?

    Thanks!

-well if you bought a LCD with integrated touch screen then it should have come with software, but if you are just using any old screen then chances are you cant use TS. if you really dont want to buy a new screen then i have heard of touch screen overlays, however i dont know where to buy them but they to should come with software.

-Frodoplayer, why because it are the besterest

-i know there is at least 8 but mediacar and frodoplayer are up there with the best

    hope this helps

The software included with the touch screens is called a driver which basically emulates a mouse.

The touch screen software the 1st post is referring to is the touchscreen friendly front end software we all use. I would have to say the most popular software right now would be Frodoplayer.

there are quite a few places online that sell touchscreen overlays, you can get them as 4wire thin-film touchscreens on glass.. I actually have one laying around that i used w/ my old 6" screen comes with USB controller/software(drivers+calibration util).. If your interested let me know..

As far as front end, Frodoplayer is nice, but lately I've been focusing on AutoTouch, I like how it integrates MapPoint and easy to use.. plus its well built.. Most of the ones in the Software forum are free, install them and see which one you like best as far as menus, and maneuvering through them.. its the only way to decide which will work best for you..

    Hope this helps

I think you are talking about frontends not what touchscreen software we use.
You really need to just read through the software forum and try them all out. No one knows your personal preferances so we can't tell you what software is better. Besides the fact that everyone and their dog has asked this question.

I myself prefer frodoplayer for its extremely fast music database and versatile playlists.
