1000w inverter to much for xbox and psone lcd? and hard drive mounting?

how much will i really need to power xbox (dvd drive removed) and a sony psone lcd? anyone know if the lcd can run straight of 12v? or is it safer to have it powered out of the inverter?

should i mount my hard drive directly to my trucks interior using some spring system? or is it safer in a custom case, mounted vertically?

Check the power rating on the bottom of the XBox. You can probably do it with a 300W, maybe less.

mount it vertically (so the disk spins in the same direction as the wheels) to something that wont be moving/bouncing around in the truck. so if you make a custom case, make sure the case is mounted solidly to something in the truck.
