It should be just fine. You could easily mount it in a Travla C137. It has 6/32/26 cm (h/l/w), or something like this... if the optical drive is a slim one of course...
So I am trying to determine the exact specs that my computer should have. I really only want it to do a few main things - that being mp3 play-back and gps navigation (I guess playing some movies - xvid, ogg, etc. - would be kind of nice, but driving is more important to me than watching a movie). That obviously doesn't require too much cpu power.... though I know that the VIA C3 processors aren't the most efficent. Is a 1ghz really needed, or will less do it just fine? What kind of motherboards are other people using? What do people have the most success with? What are the better fanless motherboards? (I want to go with a mini-itx option).
Second, I think I am going to mount it in my stupidly big glove-compartment (check out the glove-compartment in a Mazda3 sometime, you could fit a baby in one.... or a couple pounds of crack.... not that I would know...), so what is a nice compact case to fit everything into? is it maybe better just to make one? (I do love to dremel)
I think what I am looking at so far is:
VIA EPIA Nehemiah M10000
256MB DDR PC2100 RAM
D-Link DBT-120 bluetooth USB adapter
RAYMING TN-206 BLUETOOTH GPS RECEIVER
OPUS 90-watt DC-DC Power Supply
Xenarc 700TR 7" TFT LCD Flip Down Monitor touchscreeen
80.0GB. SEAGATE BARRACUDA 7200RPM 8MB CACHE
SAMSUNG SM-308 8X4X32 CD-RW/8X DVD COMBO DRIVE
D-Link DWL-G510 802.11G PCI Wireless Card
