How To Get Rid Of The Windows Bootscreen

i've seen it in thes posts alot about how to get rid of the screen that says
"Windows XP embedded" and has the bar running across it at the bottom...
this wont make it a fancy custom boot screen, but it will at least get rid of the crappy windows logo....(actually works for all versions of windows)

Just add "/noguiboot" (without the quotes ofcourse) at the end of the entry in your boot.ini file....

    for example

    multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(o)partition(1)\WINDOWS="carputer" /fastdetect /noguiboot

and instead of seeing the windows screen...its just solid black

I think it makes sense. I mean a guy who loves LInux spends hours gettin gso mad at Windows he just snaps and re-writes the whole OS to make it.....good.

    Makes sense to me!

The install is 3CDs, downloaded. It's about 2GB.

Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

Basically the same as this one ... with a /bootlogo switch, you have your own boot screen.
Simple custom boot screen. no 3rd party software!

you can add an additional switch to display a custom pic of your choice. Just search the forum for it.
