Thread: VW Jetta 2003 Sound Question

I have my touchscreeen mounted with the computer working and was going to have a headunit mounted in the glove box and just run the computer sound through the rca inputs on the head unit... but then I decided maybe it would be fun to run without a headunit and go straight through an amp.

Here's the question, and I'll probly be told to search but I've been doing it the last 6 days and can't figure it out. I currently have a monsoon system and figured that the monsoon amp would be the best place to find outputs to speakers (for the new amp). Only I cannot find the monsoon amp anywhere. Everywhere I have asked and seen says that it is mounted in the trunk, but it is nowhere to be found. So, a) where is it or is the monsoon headunit itself doing all the actual amplification, and b) how in the hell do I hook up my computers sound out to this sound system (I have a wiring harness to use with a aftermarket HU, but i don't think the wires for speakers here are what I'm looking for - or are they?). Overall I'm pretty lost and know very little about sound systems in general. I understand how it all works (in general) just don't know the specifics of where my amp will be outputting to (speakers obviously - but were the speaker inputs are). Thanks in advance.
