    Is this LCD, VGA compatible?

Hello all. I'm looking for a very simple LCD display. I don't need it to be touch screen. I found this one on ebay and think I can make it work. Idealy I want one that has a VGA connector. Does this LCD have a VGA adapter? or is it S-video and RCA only? Id hate to have to use a video card with s-video out. If anyone knows of a cheaper solution, please let me know. Thanks.

If you don't mind buying from one of the worst-rated etailers on the Net, you can get a 7" VGA non-touchscreen monitor from mp3playerstore.com

I've purchased from them in the past, but the experience wasn't exactly without issues.

Hey thanks thats exactly what I had in mind. The price is right also. I hope my experience with them will be a good one, wish me luck. Ill let you know how the order goes, as well as the shipping. Thanks again.

Also...is a voltage regulator nessesary? I was going to run everything off the cigarette lighter to keep things portable. My cigarette lighter shuts off with the car...thus the ignition needs to be on for the cigarette lighter socket to work. So the timed shut down wouldnt really work in this case right? and would this be harmful to the system?

That screen has only 250 nits brighntess so why not go to the mp3car.com store and get a lilliput with touchscreen and the piece of mind you got it from a UK distributer (and i have heard nothing but praise about the service from them). I don't normally recommend the lilliput but if you are not going to be taking it apart then it will hopefully be ok and will be covered by the warranty. Other alternative would be the Xenarc which costs a lot more and the LinITX style screen. Don't forget people have enough trouble seeing a 400nit screen in a car nevermind a 250nit one.
