What is the purpose of using nLite on a Windows installation disk, to save space on the hard drive that you are installing it on, or to make the system boot faster? A lil lost, I understand it removes unwanted features from Windows, thus reducing the size of the installation. Shrug..a lil lost.

Yeah, you can uninstall a lot of things you normally would not use. You can disable some services with it as well that will help it boot a little quicker. I'm using it to fit my install on an 800mb Flash Drive. I'm down to 450mb (i think) with no swap file. The rest of the free space is for apps and hiber file.
Edit: I say uninstall, but it actually strips it from your installation disc so it's never installed in the first place.
