This depends on several factors, the largest in my opinion is the sample rate the MP3 was encoded at. 100% variable bit rate that above statement is sort of true.Originally Posted by Matthew230

I am saying when using proper MP3 encoding, will I get good or great sound out of my speakers... I dont want to downgrade in the sound quality... What soundcard will do the trick of having a centerchanne??

An mp3 file made from a CD will never sound better than the original CD. Mp3s throw away information (lossy) in order to reduce file size.Originally Posted by Matthew230
