If you can get some pictures that would be awesome. Since as you noted, the pics that kuo posted aren't all that helpful. Are you using a xenarc screen or lilliput?

I think the depth of the xenarc allows you to do some things that you can't with the lilliput.

I'm using the xenarc screen. I'll see if I can get some pics this weekend.

Here are some pics of the screen. Sorry about the quality, I took them with my cell phone.

Here is the side with the main mechanism on it. You can see I cut away a big chunk out of the side of the bezel. It's important to make sure the bezel does not twist when you bondo it in, because your screen may not fit very well. I noticed very little twist in my bezel after fabrication was done.

I didn't have to cut the bezel apart on the other side because there was no complex mechanism. I did cut away a fair amount of the round part on the door arm though, but it does not affect the operation of the door.

The other guy's setup didn't seem to have the back cut out, but I could not figure out how to get the screen in there without cutting it out. Even with it cut out I had a hard time angling the screen in and getting it to fit.

Here's the front of the screen. This is only the second fab job I've done like this, so I'm pretty happy with it.

If you have any questions about how I did something, just let me know and I'll try to answer them.

On another note, I'm going to be replacing my rear deck speakers in about a week. Anyone done this? Anything I need to know before I start? I've never replaced any car speakers before, so any advice would be great.

The rear desk is easy. The speaker cover just POPS up and out of the way then 4 bolts for the 6x9.
Some replacement 6x9's do require them to be installed from underneath though for the speaker cover top clear the new coaxil.

Nice work! I was really trying to avoid cutting into the screen bezel. But seeing how yours came out makes me think I may take that route after all.

Again, well done. Good luck on the rest!

That's good to hear. So all I need to remove is the speaker grills? Do you just pop them off with a screw driver?
