someone that lives in miami and doesnt feel like reaching around the entire car everytime i want to adjust the AC. I was also looking to keep the car as stock looking as possible. i doubt that the head unit being in the glove compartment will meet that expectation

I think you and I are thinking different things.....you are not moving the climate control controls...just the display. How often do you change the temp...and do you really need to look at it to adjust it?

Basically, what I thought you would want, is to move the display of the HU to the cubby, and in place put a screen in it. Plain and simple

Well if in fact this was possible I wish I would have spoken to you earlier. The entire reason i mounted the TFT low was so i didnt lose the functionality of the dual CC. I have already fabricated the lower bezel with the lilliput in it. I would have liked it much more if it was mounted up higher.

Oh well maybe one day down the road i will switch the two.

Is it possible to but another lilliput case without the screen in it? like a replacement part list somewhere online?

Is there anyway to "BUY" another liliput case that i could cut up to remount the screen.

I updated my sig to include the link to my 2003 accord install thread... its a work in progress though so dont expect to see finished pics for a couple weeks

just as an update, my buddy and I got around to working on his 2003 LX accord. He had purchased one of those upper dash metra conversion kits, the kind that adapts the radio area to a single DIN hole (he didn't have dual climate control so this was easy). We swapped that in, looks real nice and stock (with the exception of the fact that there is no device in the hole yet

).

We also swapped the CD storage area behind the shifter witht he metra single DIN conversion kit. Installed an aftermarket CD player in there that has an aux input for his up and coming car PC. We're also going to use the small cubby below the DIN slot for a slim USB DVD drive and a mini USB hub.

Dash disassembly, wiring harness soldering and taping, desk installation and dash reassembly took about 2 hours.

Next up we're going to try and follow the instructions posted here for running a power wire to the trunk to power the car PC.

Hey if anyone has done the dash in this car could you give me a hint for the paint you used to match the dash? it seems to have a light texture that i cant get with regular spray paint? im on the last step of finishing this DAMN fabrication step!
