Thanks for the hint MrAccord. I acutally did find one on ebay. It cost about $30 shipped, now I'm just waiting for the screen to come in so I can start assembly.

Good luck on your install, be sure to post some pics of the finished product.

Good luck to you too 98EXL on your custom gauges.

Sorry to revive what seems to be an older thread, but I've got a couple questions about newer model accords (I have a 2005 LX) and I'm not really sure where to put it for a definitive answer.

I'm trying to get a new head unit for playing MP3 CD's and such...I've been reading around on the forums and various other sites trying to decide what mounting kit to get. Basically, I'm wondering a couple of things:

    1) Since the climate controls and radio and such are integrated, will installing a lower-mount unit disrupt any of the other systems? How would I go about wiring it to avoid this?

    2) The metra turbo 2 kit I was looking at for top mount mentions that it doesn't work with "dual climate control" but I'm kind of car stupid and don't know what that means, exactly, or how to tell if I have it or not.

    3) I'm also trying to save money, so I was wondering if anybody knew a good place to find such kits, especially the turbo 2, for as cheap as possible online.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

if you have dual climate control, the top mount kit is out. If you get a lower kit, it will not interfere with anything

    what JDM accord looks like:

FYI, In Japan, US accord is called "Inspire". Their accord is the Euro accord, or our Acura TSX.

    Wiring a car PC

I am just starting a Car PC project.
I have a 2003 Honda Accord EX (no nav or dual climate controls)

My plan is to have Xenarc screen in lower CD holder/compartment and having the PC either in the trunc of under the passenger seat.

If any of you have wiring diagrams and/or pictures of the actual wiring of a PC to the car, can you please send them to me?

I was also wondering if any of you used the spare fuses in the fuse box to power the computer or did you all use the battery?

    Thanks!

Link to Center Console spare part

At the link below, the assembly is labeled part 10. If you have issues with the link, it is under the "INSTRUMENT PANEL GARNISH (PASSENGER SIDE)" section of the parts list on www.hondaautomotiveparts.com named "POCKET ASSY., CENTER" and is currently listed at $126.47
