It's still stock. I bought it about a month ago and couldn't use it for about 2 weeks because it was in and out of repair shops.

The only mod I plan on adding to it is the truckputer and other accessories. I dont' plan on visual or engine work for atleast until next year when I have a real job.

Yea! I noticed that you were in another thread and was going to post about it. I'm actually from Maine (even closer!) and just go to school in Worcester (worst city on the planet). I can't wait to get out of MA, NH and ME are sooooooooooooooooo much better.

Dude! That's awesome! Do you have any pics? I've got a whole layout in mind but I'm having trouble figuring out where to put the computer cuz the seats are so damn low to the ground. What year/model Dakota do you have?

I go to Worcester Polytechnic Institute, I'm currently on Co-Op though so I don't have classes 'till September. Going to be a senior then I'm PEACIN' OUTTA WORCESTER!

    Hey Grimey,

I got a 95 Dakota here. I love mine, just wish I waited 2 years for the new body style. Oh well, mine is 150,000 and still running strong with only a 2 semi-major repairs (fuel pump and water pump repairs).

As for my truckputer, I took out the original 60/40 seats and put in bucket seats. I made a center console for the computer, cd player, and bigger cupholders. I have amps in closures under the seats and 2 audiobahn 10's under the back seats. I moved the cd player to the console so I could put the screen in dash. I had to move the ac controls up but the dash is so easy to modify (at least the 95 is), so it wasn't hard at all. I'll post pics soon.

If you are carefull when disasemble the Lilliput, you are fine. Just do a little search why other people screw up to avoid making the same mistake.
For the money, you can't beat it. I don't have the Xernac to compare, but at least I am happy with my Lilliput.

That's awesome! Yea I heard the Daks run for quite a while. I just came off a '97 Jeep Cherokee Sport and I was up above 170,000 and still sold it for 3 grand so I'm looking forward to the truck running that high. It's the V8 4.7 so it should last a while *crosses fingers*.

That's a good idea, I had thought about going with bucket seats for the looks and also that I don't really like not having a full center console and that would definitely fix my problem of where to put the computer. I just don't think I'm handy enough to build a center console that would look like crap. I'll definitely look into that though, that's a good idea. Definitely post pics!

MatrixPC - Thanks for the input, I think that I should be able to carefully enough dis-assemble the Lilliput, although I don't even know if I'll have to fully take it out of the housing it comes in because of the way I'm going to mold it in my Dash but I won't know 'till I get a replacement dash to play around with. Glad to hear someone likes the Lilliput.

Yea very strange. We have a very good Graduate program. I had debated doing my BS/MS in the 5 year program but I decided since I'm a semester ahead that I'd do Co-Op and graduate and have some company pay me to go to school on the West Coast . Only problem with WPI is the Sword Fighters and non-showering CS majors (no offense to the CS guys here, but they just don't shower at my school! )

Yea, thats a reason why I chose not to attend, there was a lot of weird hardcore geeks.. I mean don't get me wrong I'm a geek, but I definatly dont look like one !!! So I chose to save a bit of money and attend a state school (Keene State College)

Anyhow, I loved my dakota really awesome truck... SO POWER FULL! !!! I pulled a chevy avalanche and Chevy Suberbon out of the snow and a deep ditch. The drivers didn't think my truck could do it... (ha!)

The only reason I got rid of it was because the gas milage was truely aweful, 13 mi. per gallon (it improved to 14-15 mi per gallon when I added a K&N filter)

I traded it in while it was still worth something for an 04' Tacoma X cab (my dakota was 02' sport, single cab)
