    stupid screen install question

    ok i hope to install my screen in the next few days and am in need of a little advice I plan to do a indash install and remove it from the housing but what i need to know is how do you attacht the screen to the bezel in the dash?

    something like P40, or bondo i think its called in USA, be careful not to cover up the air vents for the screen

    ok so if i understand you correctly I bondo the lcd screen circuit board and all the the bezel?

    sorry, mis under stood ur question, i thought u meant get teh plastic bit of the screen to stick to ur dash, DOH
    U mean to put the screen back together, cant u just screw it back together the way it came apart?
    Still Planning and Scavenging Parts ------Software-----and anything else i can lay my hands on!!! :)

    no i acutally mean when removing the screen from its casing to make it fit in a smaller place

    Right - that's the "custom" part of custom installing. You'll have to figure out a way to make the screen stay in by possibly fabricating something. I've seen people use wood because it's easy to work with. I've seen metal brackets, I've see people epoxy them in.

    It's going to depend on your particulars. Check the finished projects section for cars like yours and if there is one, see if there's detail on how they did it. If not, PM that person and ask how they did it.

    Or...get creative! I'm sure you can figure something out!

    And sometimes if you post pictures of your dash and ask people to evaluate your plan for securing the screen they'll give you some feedback on ways to do it.
