    Radio Shack 12v regulator?

I have a lilliput screen and an Opus 150. The lilliput take 1A of power, I dont want to put it on the 12v rail of the opus because I think it will go over the 5A that the opus supports.

Is there a voltage regulator that I can buy? No kits as I have 0 knowlege on how to build one.

    Thanks!

Seriously, that little Lilliput Egg is much better than any thing (cheap) you buy out there.

The Radio Shack 12v regulator is a fuse. Plain and simple. Although, some of the regulators we (I work there, but don't really rely on anything 'we' sell) may not even have a fuse anymore. Some of them have a breaker. The multiple voltage converters have regulators that take them down to the other voltages, but not 12v. Just a straight through pass.

You can either use the PSU 12V or use the Egg. My PSU is capable of driving the Lilliput well, but I still don't use it. Why? Because the egg is not rotten yet and work well for almost a year.

Note: just don't hide the egg deep inside somewhere there are no air. Put it somewhere there are air around it. I put mine behide the LCD (indash) where there are not of room and good air circulation.
