I use BT to my 6620 and it works great. You need some sort of data service for the phone and the Nokia software on the PC.

You need GPRS on your phone, you have to pay for it from your service provider. (T-Mobile, Sprint, Cingular, etc).

Your phone needs bluetooth and your computer needs bluetooth to connect that way. The 802.11 stuff you're talking about is WIFI, different from GRPS. If you don't have bluetooth on your phone then you will need a Serial/USB data cable to interface the phone with your computer.

get ready to pay, depending on the carrier it can get real expensive real quick... Cingular just gave up there good plan... for unlimited surfing it is $80/month...

g1smo...as far as bluetooth vs 802.11... I think you missed the way it works... bluetooth to phone is option#1... 80211 is option#2... totally separate, you can have one or the other OR both, but they have no connection between them...

next time you have a question, try to post all the important information... like what cell phone company, what you are looking for (download music/files or just weather info), it would be nice to know what country you are in.. based on your wording and typing it seems that you are not in UK or USA... so things will be different based on these pieces of info...
