Question Need help with flip-down lcd

Let me first say I'm a total noob at car stereos, so please bear with me. I have a 1999 Pontiac Firebird with T-tops. Is there a roof mount flip down lcd housing made small enough to fit on the T bar that goes down the center of the car? I have approximately 6.5" for the whole mount. If anyone can lend some help in installing an LCD in this car please let me know. And by the way I havent purchased anything yet, just trying to find out what I need. Thanks in advance!!!!

Just out curiosity, this flip down LCD, you don't plan on loocking at it, do you? Cause it would only practical for the back seats. For the front it really should be in the dash. Look around though, I remember seeing a couple of Firebird/Camaro installs lately which may give you some ideas.

    Negative Lamar.

Any "Flip-down" LCD is gonna suck for our purposes. Now, if you just wanna hook up a dvd player then it would be fine, but for computers they are teh suck.

I only plan on hooking up a DVD player to it. If the flip down is a bad idea, any suggestions on what kind to get?

    in dash...

a flip down is not only extremely unsafe from a drivers perspective, it would just be a PITA to try and see from the front seats.

If this is just for DVD there are a ton of car stereo specific forums out there, not to mention a ton of flip out fold up screens for the taking

if this is for a carpc, then you will want to use a VGA monitor, not one of the monitors like you are looking at....

Those flip downs are for if you have little kids and they like to watch Disney movies on the way to school to keep them from screaming in your ear.
