    Yellow top tank battery

    HI All...

Im thinking about running a second battery and looking into a Yellow Top battery as the second battery. This is the one im thinking about using http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...e=STRK:MEWA:IT

Im going to join the main and the second battery with a relay so they are both connected to each other when the engine is on.

Just like to know if this is going to be good enough to run the pc for a while when the engine is off. Im also thinking about getting this power inverter so i can run a full spec pc http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...e=STRK:MEWA:IT

    Thanks In advance

Two batteries is always good if you have the space and hook them up so the main battery charges first.

Not sure you want to run an invertor and full size PC though. THere is only so much you can do and so much room in a car/truck to fit everything. I say go with the new Opus or the new Carnetix (both to be out really soon) and run a nice P4 m-ITX system.

    OK thanks

Didnt know Opus are bringing out a new power supply
I have a opus 150w at the moment and a m10000 system board with 256 mb Memory, gps, wirless etc. Could not live without a pc in the car now

I just like to leave the pc on without the main battery going flat just so i can transfer files ect

Ok then i will buy one of the Yellow top batterys

Would the relay be the best option to join and disconnect the batterys though

    Thanks again
