    Arrow Hardware Sales in Aust.

    Hi All.

I see that there are a few aussies here on this forum and would like to ask you all a question.

Where do you source all of you equipment??? Everything from PC's to DC PSU's, Screens and extras!!!

Hoping to start my first CarPC in the next couple of weeks.... going to be a long project.

On a side note: Has anyone put a CarPC into a Series 1 Landrover Discovery???

    Many thanks,
    Lee Pryor

if you trust it, ebay is always a good start, i use a place called pccasegear.com.au for things like lcd modules (alpha\numeric) aftermarket cpu,cpu coolers&paste ect... it all depends on where you are too... im not too sure about if they have a store there or not but msy.com has some nice and cheap stuff, but nothing in the micro-axt or barebone style... warcom.com is another place... or just go to google.com.au and restrict your searches to pages from australia below the search bar, then look for whatever you want...

just try and search, seeing as you have only ever made 1 post... your realy going to get flamed and scorned for not searching for yourself... the veterans on this forum get pretty ****ed off pretty quickly in my opinion here, so dont instigete em by not searching yourself

good luck with your carputer and dont forget to post pics and info when its done

Thanks very much guys.... I have done a lot of searching over the past couple of days about 20hrs in 3 days!!! I can't remember the amount of searches i have compiled on this site.... it really is tops!!

I was more trying to compile a list and use perfered suppliers as recommended here.

Thanks very much for the input.

As for the OT, yes... we do a fair bit of beach work here. I am working on a suspension idea here where I will suspending the hdd in rubber bands.

Once finished I will post details.
    Cheers,
    Lee

Don't forget the mp3car store. Good place to find the hard to get things.

Same places I get most of my PC components:

    - Umart (they're very close to work and always within a few dollars of the cheapest places, for most things)
    - AusPCMarket (for certain things you just can't find anywhere else easily)
    - EYO (they were the cheapest for my M12000, and the only ones with any stock. Also close to home. )
    - Work

I bought my Opus from Corrospec (after two friends' recommendations), and my USB GPS mouse from eBay.

    This one?

Maybe if you're using an ATX motherboard and something power-hungry like a P4...but it's not terribly suitable for a mini-ITX board.

Sure, it's 250w..but it's humungous (ATX-sized), expensive (last time I checked it was $300AUD), and does it have the shutdown capabilities of the Opus (genuine question)?

    Cheers,
    - Febs.
