Wow does nobody want to talk to me. If yall dont like me that much just say so and ill leave.
Hi my name is Justin and i live in new orleans. Im 16 and am about to get a silver 240sx within the next week once i recieve it i want to put a carpc in it because they are so damn cool and i havent seen anybody around here with one. My first question is does anybody on this site have a 240sx with one of these installed so i can get an idea of where to put it and etc. My second question is the box that you build your pc i would imagine it would be safer to have one with some kind of shock absorbtion frame so **** dont bounce around while going down the pot hole infested streets of New Orleans. Does anybody know about a case such as that and where i can get one from.

here is one more reason:

now read those and come back with some specific questions, people around will appreciate that you have done your homework.
You dont need shocks and a frame. That answers that part.
I don't have a 240sx so I cant answer that par.t
Hey man!
I dont have a PC installed yet, but I have an S14. What year is your car??
Ive been browsing off and on for about a year, and Ive only seen 2 or 3 other 240's around. Here's a couple of pics of my car and my plans for it.
new car: ready for PC
Check out www.NICOclub.com Its a great resource for Nissan owners. I spend way too much time over there.
THe case you describe would have to be custom made. For the most part, the PC is OK with bumps, you just have to watch out for the hard drive. Keep looking around and you'll come across some pretty creative solutions.

Soon to actually find its way into the car!
I have 1990. I plan on converting the body to a S15 body styled and dropping an RB20DET into it. Thanks for the site for the Nissan owners and ill keep updates about my car as it progresses.

seems the n00bs want to just ask general questions and have all the answers laid out to them on a silver platter....AND be spoon fed....lol
Burritosf: first off, welcome!
glad you made it here!
second, I would suggest reading a LOT before posting general questions. People around here don't like to sit and type out long responses to general questions because those questions have usually been answered many times before. A simple search would yield those answers. I've always felt that doing your own reaserch to find the answer your are looking for first will give you a much better idea and knowledge base than just having someone spout off a few things to you. The main reason I feel this was is that in doing research you learn a LOT more than you ever would by just posting a few questions here and there about specific things and never researching. Usually, you will find answers to questions you never knew you had yet.
I'd suggest using the search feature at the top of the page. It's very helpful.
Good luck!![]()

Burritosf...I too live in NOLA and have had no trouble (nocking on wood) with my hard drive crashing with out any type of special shocks etc for almost 3 years now. Not to mention it is bolted to a board that is bolted to my frame so there is little give.
