    Factory Amplifier In Mercedes C-Class

Ok I drive a 1998 C280 with the Factory Bose system. For those of you that don't know, the system uses a bose amplifier in the trunk to power the speakers, and the head unit just sends a signal to the amplifier with no high level outputs coming form the factory head unit (they are speaker wire outputs, but they send a low level signal). My question is this:

Say I do put a computer in the trunk. Can I use the output of that computer, and somehow convert it to speaker wire outputs to tap into the input of the bose factory amp? I want to completely ditch the factory headunit as it clears up a spot perfect for mounting the LCD. If so, how would I convert minijack into speaker wire?

    Thanks.

Its not recommand that you get rid of headunit. The Bose amplifier requires high preamp output from headunit. If you just connect the audio output of computer to the Bose amplified, you will not get full loudness of what you get before with headunit. Unless you want to replace a single DIN headunit of aftermarket unit.

Is there any way to amplify the signal from the computer? Say like a high-end sound card maybe? I really want to get rid of the factory head unit, but if it's not possible I guess i could just relocate it.
