    PowerNow

Need Help. I have a Mobile Athlon 4 1400. Want to use it for my CarPC. The last mobo i tried recognized the proc as Mobile Athlon 4 but was clocking @ 500mhz. Did some changes to BIOS and got it up to 705mhz. I'm still confused about PowerNow. According to AMD, PowerNow is stock on Windows XPsp2. Never saw the proc throttle for anthing. Is Mobile Athlon's compatible with all desktop mobo's or a selected few?

I sugest looking at the motherboard manufacturer's website to make certain it supports the XP Mobile CPU.
There's also some hardware hacking that can be done to make it work. I don't know what all is involved, however, since my motherboard supports the XPMobile out of the box.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?

It's Shuttle unit. The motherboard is FN41. The complete barebones (with Shuttle case and stuff) is the SN41G2.
