Question Can I move the temperature controls to somewhere else?

I have been reading this forum for a while and have been admiring all the carpcs. I am in process of saving enough money to start on my project.

I have a Honda Civic 97 and I'd like to put a 7" LCD in it. Only problem is that the temperature control is in the way. Is there a way to relocate the control?

Here is an image that I stole from someone on the forum.

notice this person has his LCD screen on the bottom. I'd like it to be on the top so it's easier for viewing (IMO).
    Is this possible?

    thanks in advance

    Hi there

Well everything is possible, but to be honest, I think it's a bit of a problem. The temp-console appears to be mechanical, meaning that when you use the slide/switch-arm to regulate the blower, and temperature, quite a bit happens behind the console.

It would have been a lot easier if it was all eletronic.

I would go for the lower setup.

    Regards
    Claus

PS. Pardon me english, I'm from Denmark/Scandinavia

Don't be skittish!!! Rip that dash apart and see what's back there, if all you see is a mess of wires...go ahead and start making it messier, if not, think about it for a while...then rip into it...

I'd love to help you guys out during the summer. I can make the code which will move the sliders and stuff... but I'd need the hardware
