    Question about Opus

Ive looked around a little and havent found much, but I now know what an opus power supply does. My question is, does your comp turn off every time you shut your car off? I do a lot of short driving and I dont want to wait every time for my comp to boot up. I'd rather have it run 24/7, but I guess thats not really an option without the battery dieing...or is it? Thanks for the help

That all depends on the computer, battery, alternator and how much you drive.

If you have a low consumption pc, a high amperage alternator, and a deep-cycle battery - Go for it.

If you only look a little, you only find a little. You get out of it whatever you put into it.

The computer can be set to standby rather than shut down. Resuming from standby is a lot faster than a full boot.
There are some issues with standby, though. The PC is still drawing power, albeit minimal power. Kyle's statement certainly applies here.
You can hibernate, where the windows state is written to disk. Resuming from hibernate is also faster than a full boot, but longer than standby. The PC isn't drawing any power at all.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

Under normal circumstances, a signature would go here.

The Opus can be set to shutdown/standby/hibernate your computer after 10 seconds, 20, 40, or 60 minutes. If your stops usually fall within one of the latter ranges, just set it up to stay running. If you don't make it back in time it will just go into whatever state you have setup in your power management.
