PC speakers and a Laptop?
Whats the best way to power a set of PC speakers in a car? I am guessing buy a lighter adapter for the laptop? I wanna just add some $150-$200 4.1 PC speakers and run them to a laptop in my car. Yeah it won't look as nice but that doesn't matter to me.
I think it would be easier to do this then to rip the old speakers out put new in,run a amp/sub,install a new headunit, ect. Not to mention I done have the speakers and laptop.

so the speakers would sound like crap and there nothing you could do about it? At least you explained why it wouldn't work where on some forums ppl seems like smart a@$e$. Thx for the reply though.
BTW I have a 99 Mustang with Factory CD and tape player that has there own unit. The CD player hooks up to the tape player somehow. How would I put another CD unit in this car? Just put the new unit where the old CD unit is or take the tape player out and put the new CD unit there?

welll u can try to ground EVERYTHING in one point which means ur inverter ur pc ur headunit and **** but it wont work so well... im starting to get hissing on my car pc for some reason its the 1st time its ever happend to me and its ****in me off :-D so time to figure that out lol
ummm it prolly hooks up through the factory setup harness crap but if i were u id just get rid of the stock headunit and throw in a eather double din am/fm/cd/tape or just a single din am/fm/cd and have a storage bin for the seccond din
