Looks like it's going to be a great setup. I haven't tried Media Car and I didn't really like Frodoplayer, so I'm running RoadRunner and love it because it integrates EVERYTHING including Streets and trips (thanks to a fellow member here who figured it out)
I'm sure if you've gotten this far, you've found out how to interface with the cars iBus. RoadRunner works with a good iBus program (can't remember the name) Anyways, good luck. It's going to be awesome.

It was too buggy for my system, and seemed to run very slow (I'm using my 1.2ghz 1gig ram Dell 300m laptop for now and I shouldn't see problems like that) that was over a month ago so I really don't remember all the details, but I do remember that it was only on my system for a few hours before I gave up on it and tried something else. RoadRunner seems to do everything I could want and it's very fast. Also from what I remember of frodoplayer it didn't have a very clean interface. Road Runner does. Granted that's probably a skin issue, but none the less I just like Road Runner better.Originally Posted by ltrain1007
I have been playing around with centrafuse and planning to download RoadRunner. I still didn't get a chance to play to even set the PC in the car. All the pc components are on my desk. Its the end of the Fiscal year where I work so i hardly have time, i spent way to much time on the Alpine install.
IBUS and OBDII probably in a couple of months.
cool. I love being able to use the steering wheel buttons. I have to say it's a MUST for bimmer carputers.
I haven't had time, but there's a program called XE39 that basicly is supposed to mimic the stock radio functions. sounds cool, I just haven't had time.
ODBII is an option, but I'd rather hack into the BMW diagnostics port under the hood. it will control the same stuff as the OBD and more. (from what I understand at least)
I promissed to add more pics, here they are.

You are going to put some hefty fans in that Amp enclosure? A couple blowing in and a couple venting?
If you did'nt you will probably have those amps going into thermal protect.
Alot of heat generating electronics in a small enclosed space.
The fans are on top and nothing will be covering them, so them amps do get ventilation.
