Since when is it legal to eat and drive? Maybe it's different in the US

Well, you're entitled to your opinion, fair enough.

    I almost missed that

i dont know, im gonna do what im gonna do, i dont really abide by laws that i disagree with but i still am safe. i just feel like its the new thing and everyone is freaking out about it because its illlogical right now due to previous assumptions and ways of life. for example, motorcylces, when they first came out, they werent that fast, but when they decided to make the face and even race bikes, everyone was like hey hey hey ! thats dangerous dont do that, well now, today they do it, and is it still dangerous? yes. IMO more dangerous than me watchin my soutpark dvd while in a traffic jam.
Go on and do it, do it, Do it 'til you're satisfied,

WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU BE WATCHING VIDEOS WHEN DRIVING?!?!?!???

As far as I know, and maybe I'm just being crazy, but I though t you were supposed to look at the road while driving! It is just purely **stupid** to watch a movie/video or any motion video while driving!!! - the only place video belongs is for your passengers, and even a passenger watching a video displayed on the dash WILL distract the driver!

    - I mean seriously, you really have to ask if it is legal to look at a a video while you are in control of 2000-3000 pounds going 70 miles down the road ?

Please, please! don't drive in any part of the country I am located !

    chase:!

why the hell would you ride a motorcycle? or do tricks on them?

going 70 watching the video is something i never said i would do. but in certaion situations i wouldnt have problem with it. goign 70 i can have a movie on or a standup comedy dvd on, chappele show or whatever, im not stupid, i know how to use judgement, you obviously dont, so its best that YOU dont drive in MY area.

im in new york alot, so ill see u some time

Just to anger people more, i also have nintendo and genesis on my comptuer, im not going to try to play it while driving but that doesnt mean i wont let my passengers. i dont care what they are playing im not gonna look and get distracted, and to be blunt, most people will be more distracted by a sexy girl walking down the street.

I think having video screen (playing movie) within the driver view while in motion is illegal everywhere in the world. It is the basic common safety while operating a vehicle.
Now doing it or not is up to you. If you get pullover, you get ticket or whatever the penalty is.
Use your common sense. It is okay if you get kill while doing it, but you are not the only one on the road.

BTW, I want to make the use of serial and ebrake to disable video playin in VGA screen (main) while allow movie playing on the composite screen from the dual output of the A7N8X mobo (VGA and Composite). Time do do some coding .

I think this is one of those times common sense over rules everything.

I feel I could drive down a road (albeit a single carriageway or motorway or whatever) and watch a movie, but common sense tells me that it is not safe for anyone if im watching a movie. Therefore I won't - and don't.

All else aside, the first part of this argument in now way fits into this discussion other than the fact that both are dangerous.

Riding a motorcylce at 70mph is dangerous simply because you don't have as much metal surrounding you ... but riding a motorcycle in no way distracts you. and that's what the entire point is here ... video can be a distraction that can lead to being unsafe while driving.

Motorcycles are just dangerous. But other than that they do not relate.

And I think we all would also agree doing tricks while going 70mph also shouldn't be done. But again, that doesn't really tie in here.

Feel free to state your opinion but at least make analogies that actually work.

I don't know about the UK, but in the US common sense isn't very common

that's why we have stickers on lawn mowers saying don't stick your hand in the blade while it's moving.

one more ... FWIW I got pulled over for something unrelated recently and had FrodoPlayer playing audio (no vis) ... cop didn't so much as say anything about it.

maybe I was lucky ... or maybe it's that he likes Johnny Cash (cause he didn't give me a ticket either).

But I'm willing to bet if I had video going I would have gotten a ticket, and possibly an order to have the system removed.
