Putting a shuttle computer in my car

Well I asked this on the mobiletronics section of my car's forum.. but it would seem more appropriate to awnser it here so:

I somehow want to put a computer in my car for library Video/Music access and possibly wifi/gprs internet access, but I still want to somehow want to make it easy to take out and use as opposed to being an integral part of the car, such as the CarCPU.

Would it be possible to buy a seperate DVD Indash (Highest resolution) and somehow buid my own pc from like a shuttle case (http://global.shuttle.com/Product/Barebone/SB81P.asp) and be able to control it remotely yet still be able to remove it?

Or possibly, just be able to input it into the Indash and buy Bluetooth mouse and keyboard.

I'm not particularly looking for onscreen control, but that would be nice.
Reason I want it to be seperate is that I want to be able to take it out for like LAN's and stuff, because I would be getting a top level system.

    1) Start reading the forums here, particularly about power supplies. Everything you want to do is possible.
    2) Power is going to be your primary issue. The only way you're going to power that sucker in your car is with an inverter. That leads to all sorts of other "How do I" questions.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

Under normal circumstances, a signature would go here.
