    Motherboard for Mobile XP recomendatios

I have searched through everything here and obviously everyone has thier own opinions. BUT, what I am seeing is contradiction. Some say you need to mod the A7N8X for XP Mobile, some say you don't. Some say you need to mod the Gygabite mobo to work with opus150, some say that's BS.

I'm looking for a good Micro ATX Mobo, under $100 to run an XP MObile 2500 with an Opus 150w. Thanks.

PS With some definitive answers on modding necessity.
Its not the cards you're dealt, its how you play the hand!

For A7N8X-VM/400 you have to wire modded for the mobo to recognize the mobile CPU. If not, it will run at 800Mhz regardless of CPU actual speed.
The other mobo is from Biostar not Gigabite. You have to double check with Opus if it need to be modify to work with the mobo and/or tell them the type of mobo you are using so they mod it before sending out to you.

I would suggest you get the Biostar board instead of Asus A7N8X. There is nothing wrong with the Asus unless you want to do wire modded. The Biostar you don't have to wire modded cuz you can change FBS in the BIOS (some said that). Just double check the manual for sure.
