Welcome. Your right there is a lot of info on this site, but its pretty well organized. If you search the 'Show off Project' forum youll find good info on what u need to do, also there is a sub forum at the top of that forum, called 'work log' which has current projects that are in the works.

Everyone has a 'show off project' that has motivated them to get a system in their pc, mine is

2003 BMW M3 Custom Dash / Overhead Console

Go on and do it, do it, Do it 'til you're satisfied,
Whatever it is, do it, Do it 'til you're satisfied.

    Hi!

Like you say, there's a lot of information to take in so it would really be impossible to give a page with everything you need to know!

Best thing is to look at the stickies on each of the boards for things you'll know you need! --- PSU (incl shutdown controllers), Screen, Front End, etc...

Good luck building your car pc!

Start with the stickies in the Newbie forum. After that, read the ones in the LCD/Display forum about the Lilliput/Xenarc/TView monitors. Then go to "Show off your project" and pick cars you're interested in. Then start searching for stuff you see there that piques your interest. And [shamelessPlug] check the link in my signature for a walk through of my install, including the hardware necessary [/shamelessPlug]
