making programs run when windows starts W/O explorer shell

I havent visited this forum in awhile but this is probably a basic question. For those of you that are running ur front ends as shells, how do you get windows to run a program at boot? The programs i'm lookin at specifically are navivoice alt tabber and hotkeylauncher.

one way is to simply put a shortcut to the program in the Startup menu.
Based on the thread title, you're not using Explorer as a shell.
What you need to do is put an entry in HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
It should be a String Value.
The name should be the name of the application and the value should be the command line that is needed to run the app.
Bear in mind that any long filenames need to be enclosed in quotes with any parameters outside the quote.
I've got an entry for steam and the value is "c:\program files\valve\steam\steam.exe" -silent

K the reg trick did not work for me. I tried using " and without the " and it still doesnt boot up the programs. I have a feeling that trick is still dependent on explorer shell cause there are other programs in the run key that dont start as well. Any other ideas?

Only way really is to write a quick batch file to start all the apps one by one.

I've already got the shell running, what i'm tryin to do is get background programs to load.

Uk, in the batch file all i need to do is list the locations of the programs? I know i can set frodo to run a batch file at startup so that may work but i'm not sure if its just a simple as this:

SAMPLE BATCH

C:\Program Files\Navivoice\navivoice.exe
C:\Program Files\Alt Tabber\alt tabber.exe
C:\Program Files\HotKeyLauncher\hotkeylauncher.exe

im tring to do the same thing with the batch file.. but im having truble loading a few apps that usally load into the system stray..
one of them is the wincom bluetooth program?

any ideas
