Just wondering if my setup would be okay... p3 mobile 1.2ghz, 20gb hdd, win2000pro, anyways, its a laptop. Its incredibly slow on startup and i was just wondering if anyone uses a laptop here and what they think of using one (i was just wondering because im pretty much broke from buying a new video card and a dell 2005fpw) thanks

Plenty of people use laptops here. Yours will be fast enough to do car PC stuff. Go to the "Show Off Your Project" forum and check the projects out. Many of the use laptops. Also, Search on terms "Laptop" and you'll get all kinds of threads discussing laptops in cars.
