    Shuttle SK43G & Athlon M?

I know that this has been covered, I did a search but I wanted to be sure.

The SK43G is pretty cheap, I can shove it in my glovebox and call it a day. I just called Shuttle and they couldnt answer my question... so the question is:
Will a Socket A Mobile Athlon (2200+) would work with this motherboard? Im sure it would as the MB is Socket A also.

Would the M1-Atx 90w PS be sufficient enough to handle this setup plus a 2.5" hd and a slim dvd/cdrw? Or should I go with the CNX-p1900?

There is also this snap on This is by far the cheapest but is it limited to only the Via M series MBs?

    Thanks in advance!

What should I do in terms of cooling? Do the mobile processors get hot enough to warrant a sizable heatsink w/fan?

I don't think it will work unmodified. I did some Googling (I recommend you do the same) and found some people asking about that Shuttle unit's compatibility with AMD XP-M CPUs. They were all in French, and I don't feel like translating for you.

The 90w would be a little underpowered I believe. I could be wrong. Your CPU alone is going to be pulling 1/2 of the available 90w. Just something to consider.

    Do some more reading.

That depends. You want to make certain that the CPU is going to be cooled enough to work in your car on a hot day. I don't think you need to go balls-out and use a Swiftech 462, but some cooling is necessary.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

Under normal circumstances, a signature would go here.

bump. if you find out any more information about the compatibility of the SK43G and mobile processors, please let me know... opus said that the only way this system will work with their DCX2.1215.XPC (150watt) is if i use the mobile processor, they said that the AMD Sempron socket 462 2800+ would not work, because it puts too much of a load on the 5v lines... i called the shuttle support line and found out from the overseas (non english speaking guy) that the sk43g uses a FX43 mothernoard and that it does not support mobile processors... he then went on to tell me that i can get one a just try it... all i have to say it lol... anyways.. please email me at steve@solixa.com or reply on here if you find out anymore information
