    New to MP3Car

I have been thinking about a car computer for some time now. More or less as a MP3 Player than anything else.

I have aquired the majority of the components I need to start. But want a faster processor so I utilize it more than just an MP3 Player.

I do have a few basic questions, though.

What do the Northern folks do with the computers in the winter? Can they handle a night of 0 degrees?

I have seen Laptops converted, but I want to build a box from scratch. Can a PC mother board be used if you have the space, and a continuious power source?

I want to get into something above 1Ghz, but want to make sure I can cool it suffiently in the summer as well.

    Thanks for any beginner help,

    Josh

Thanks for pointing me to the FAQ page.

I have to find out what the amps are on the Power Supplies I have allready.

So far I have a 500Mhz system up and running on my bench, but want to go faster, plus add DVD.
