questions and more questions

Hi there i have been thinking about putting a computer in my car for a while now but there are some questions i would like to ask first.
Here goes!
1. Is there any other tft touchscreen that will do the job?The only one i know about is the lilliput but that costs £200, i live in england!
2. Are there any programs to make the display show volts.temp.fuel level and if poss engine revs? i know its asking a lot but if i have got a computer in my car i might as well get it to display as much info as possible
3. What about networking to the house computer? wired or wireless?
4. Can i build my own power supply and what will it need to put out in amps?

Sorry for so many questions :tard: but if i am going to do this then i want to do it right hopefully first time.I hope someone out there can help me with some answers :) .Thanks for any help you can provide.

First, welcome. Second, go to the FAQ Emporium where you'll find plenty of links and how-to's to keep you occupied for quite awhile.

Then, go to the "Show off your project" forum and check out the member installations. Don't forget to check the "worklogs" sub forum there to see members documenting their installations.
