you'd better find a ford forum and try to find the pinouts of the amp
I am trying to figure out what these 2 devices are for, but i am suspecting it is some sort of AMP but cannot confirm it. This is on my 2004 mercury Mountaineer Premier.
Can anyone help me identify this devices?
If this is actually an AMP or not so I can determine if I need to purchase an AMP to connect to the PC's sound board
Here the pictures:

I used to have a 89 Cougar, that should be the amp to drive the subwoofer. I took the sub out to make room for the box so I just disconnected it and it didnt affect the other speakers.
I spoke to Best Buy installer, they said I dont need to get another AMP, just run PC sound to in dash speaker wires due Premium Sound system already it own AMP built in. I was kinda suspection about his statement.. Can any one confirm if another AMP is required if keeping the existing premium sound system? Only radio head will be removed.
Thanks,
Richard
The wires going from the head unit run directly into the amp and then to the speakers. Use the leads from an adapter you can pick up at Wally World and wire the audio from you motherboard to it.
