    New newbie: BMW E36 Pimp-mobile :-)

    Hello everyone!

I'm ready start my install now...

    I have a 95 BMW 318i convertible with m-tech body kit.

I have 2 amps in the boot: 1 for speakers, one for sub.

I have a huge base box which I want to have re-built custom, so I have more useable space.

    The Plan:

To have a Playstation 2 at the back which can be used for games and as a DVD player/DIVX player (Already have hard drive for it with multimedia software and games).

To have a laptop at the back (have spare one: 1.7GHz, 512MB, wireless G, no hard drive yet): This will be used with my touchscreen, motorised 7" monitor at the front, for GPS and selection of music.

I want to remove my HU (alpine) and just use my touchscreen to control everything.

I am going to have 2 headrest monitors for passengers to play ps2/watch movies at back and also a mechanism to switch video source for each monitor.

I have an AI-Net cd changer which I would like to be able to use from my laptop, but don't know if this is possible.

I am going to use an M-Audio USB to send sound into into my amps (I know nothing about sound so will be asking many questions about this! <after doing a search, of course>)

I'm gonna pimp this ride to the max :-)

Does that include crushed velvet interior, gold rims and 80 gzillion curb feelers (also gold-plated)?

Seriously. I read your plans and you seem to have a grasp of what's involved. Definitely not the average n00b. Keep us posted and be sure to take lots of pics.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

Under normal circumstances, a signature would go here.

Your plans sound good. Have fun pimping your ride.: Just like X to the Z would do, now off to west coast customs.
