    a few questions about parts

i dont know exactly what i would need to build a car pc, so i have a few questions about it. I wasn't really considering this, but then i realised i had some old pc parts lying around that i could use.

i have a micro ATX motherboard with a 1.6Ghz pentium 4, with 768mb ram on it. i have plenty of old hard drives and cd roms i can use.

would they be useful in building a car pc? also, what else would i need to look at buying?

What is a car pc? It's a PC in a car!!!
So would spare PC parts lying around be useful in putting a car pc? You tell me.

Go to the FAQ Emporium and start reading.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

You want to look at the M1-ATX car pc power supply. It is a smart PS that automaticly boots and shuts down your pc with the cars ignition switch. It will work with your micro-ATX board and will elliminate the need for a power inverter.

    Good luck with the project
