    classes?

hey guys. im starting on my puter soon, and i know very basic electronic stuff, but i feel a lot of this stuff, especially the more advanced stuff is gonna require more knowledge. think it'd be a good idea to take some basic electronics/circuit courses at my local community college?

You should be able to get by without doing any real electronics work. Hardest thing you will encounter with a normal install is just the fuses, which shouldnt be too difficult. Should you take the classes? I say go for it. If you have the interest, why not take them?

Nothing a little bit of google can teach you.

I'm a believer in it. If you have the interest, take the courses. It will explain everything. Except how to hook up your PC to your car stereo.

Only problem is you'll have to check the course content first. I have a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, and not once did we discuss relays or batteries. Antennas were also just a bit part in one course. You obviously learn the basics of electronics themselves and the theory which can help you figure out how new components work, but it may be a little disappointing/frustrating if you wanted this only for car audio applications.

That said, if you're still at all interested, just take the class. Always helps to pick up some new knowledge.
