HAHA!! Sorry guys...here's the link...
http://cgi.ebay.com/Sony-Vaio-PCG-F4...QQcmdZViewItem
a little on the slow side for a carpc, running XP anyways, but probably worth the money for a power supply as use for a portable web browser or something....
MY NEWEST INSTALL:modded infiniti fx with big screen
first windows carpc install........my liquid cooled LVDS screen :D
slow my arse......
depends what you want it to do.....
i use a amdk6-2-450 mhz and its fine ....
dvd might skip a bit.... but it should do........
Volvo V40 Phase 2 2002. T4 turbo upgrade.... currently no mp3 or carputer..... researching options
I basically want it to play mp3's, movies, GPS an maybe obd interface.
fast enogh for most of that...movies would be the test.....i had a p3 400 meg compaq laptop and i could watch dvd,s on it. just.... just a little jerky .
obd doesnt need a fast processor as it is low baud rate anyway... gps should be no prob either.
it all depends on what operating system you are going to use...
how much ram and of course how much hdd space you are going to use... from memory it said only 6 gig???

I still say a little on the slow side.... not unusable... but slow enough to be frustrating at times & with all the other frustrating things that can & will pop up on a car pc install, why add another stumbling point... not to mention all the work that goes into setting up an install... when your done I think you would want better results than this would give.... It can defanately work though.....
MY NEWEST INSTALL:modded infiniti fx with big screen

its not worth anything....
i think it would be in your best intrests to just send it to me...
im still wondering if its worth MY money to pay for shipping....
*wink*
=D
JWU
Ofcourse you can use it, rip it apart and use the screen and mount it in car roof..perfect for backseat ppl to watch movies..there is adapters available for using a 3.5" harddrive with that MB.
A laptop is designed to be low in powerconsumption an more resistant to condensation and such...perfect!
What you need is a "lightweight" OS to run it..
Go for it!
