if i get a Pioneer 50W X 4 iPod™/Satellite Radio-Ready DVD Deck with 6.5" Touch Screen
, can this just connect with my labtop, and workin as a carputer?

anyone in LA can install a carputer for me?please,,,i am a sucker who really want a carputer....

The touch screen on the pioneer is for the pioneer's controls.. and wont (can't easily) be made available to control the CarPC's functions.

the best thing to do it to sell all your stuff.
the pioneer lcd isn't clear enough for computer use, since it *probably* only accepts s-video inputs, and im 100% sure that it doesn't have a vga input.

as for the touchscreen part of the pioneer headunit, you can't connect it to the computer. you can try, but after you do, you would have spent too much time on getting it to work for it to be worth it.

there are some users here who have run laptop setups, but for me, it's not the way to go. the laptop's lcd screen would just be a waste, getting a cpu for the price of a laptop would get you more speed and features.

the last one's only an opinion. the others are facts.

i do car audio/carputer installs for a&a autoworks here in the 818 (van nuys, san fernando valley). let me know if you're interested.
