Here's what I have so far
Then after I bought and installed I found this site and am quite upset with myself. Can anyone give suggestions what I need to do?
Primarily I want my Delorme GPS to work with the touchscreen but don't know what to do about amplification from a carputer and just feel very stuck. I am frustrated because I thought this would be all I needed until I seen the images on the RR skin. Now I am very disappointed in myself.
Should I sell all, and invest in carputer? Should I simply add a pocketpc for my GPS?

I hate how manufacturers photoshop pictures onto their LCDs to make they look all great and then when you get it, it looks like ****. For example, look at pic #2. There's no way my Xenarc VGA screen even comes close to produce that high quality of the picture.
Shouldn't that fall under false advertising?

I think it does actually that is why most advertisements have to say simulated image. But this is the internet no rules. LOL

Ok if I am more or less starting over, I really don't want just an amp. I will probably keep the new reciever because it is just so sexy, and easy access to put new DVD and MP3DVD's into. I would like to simply run my sound card output into either an auxilary channel on reciever or through my FM-Modulator. There is not much of a noticable loss in quality for either of these for me. So....
I am getting that M1 whatever power supply, how would that hold up with the above pictured barebones kit? For those who say CF is the fastest, would it be wise to put my media onto a hard drive, and run my OS and software all from a 4GB CF card? If so, that above pictured barebones kit has a CF reader, but I am new to CF, can you boot from removable drives like that?
Thanks again guys for the help. I am not being lazy I am doing alot of reading too.

Well I am changing my mind on the motherboard, but everything else is here, just gotta paypal the guy for the screen. So here is my new question...
I have an older iPaq2 with Intel 1GHz processor 256MB Ram, 2 200 GB Hard drives, USB Wireless G, internal laptop CD-RW/DVD Rom, and XP Pro.

To go with it I bought a M1 power supply.

The USB will power the touchscreen, GPS and WiFi card. I have a FM modulator that is hard wired I used to use for my CD changer, I can plug the line out into that so that I can keep my sexy reciever.
Do you guys think I will have too much power draw to run this power supply? Will the computer itself be suitable till I can afford to do a custom glovebox or in dash DIN design?
Also, the motherboard on this computer only has a single VGA output, so I will need one of those little dongles to allow a RCA output for the video to go to the overhead flip down display and an RCA video line in would be sweet to then I can play my video discs directly from my reciever. But would this extra USB device push my power supply to a max, or even over do it?
Sorry for all the questions, I really don't wanna cook this gorgeous power supply because of stupidity.
One more question, how do I get images to display inline with the forum posts?
