Question what software are you people using?

hi i am new to mp3car.com and i am in the process of installing a carpc in my 1988 austin mini. It wil be mainly for mp3, dvd, wma, wmv ect and i am planning an doing something with gps and controlling electric windows ect. at the moment i am using windows xp with apple iTunes for my music. although this is a resonable player the buttons are too small to use with my touch screen.

the question is really what programs people are using and are there any that will be able to do all of the stuff i am thinking of including in my install?

    thanx in advance jamie

LOL you have a lot of reading to do my friend. Check out the "software" forum, specifically the "front ends" subforum. There are quite a few programs written for use as an interface for CarPC use.

Also check out the FAQ forum - you will learn loads. Cheers

I have found Windows 2000 Pro to be a solid and fast OS, far superior to XP in terms of speed. For the front end, I am using Frodoplayer and I like it. I was using Power Cinema Xp on an XP install but it was upsetting the hell out of me with crashes and small buttons so I went to Frodo (At the advice of others) and I am very happy now.
