2005 Matrix and 8" LCD: Am I screwed?

So today I bought a brand new 2005 Toyota Matrix, my first new car

Very happy w/it.

BUT...

The LCD touchscreen i have leftover from my last car is an 8"... and it's too big to put where the Matrix stereo usually is! Even the screen itself (without the bezel/buttons/etc) seems too big. Am I screwed? Can't really bear to spend tons more $ on another screen, leaving this one useless. I don't have the skills or tools to fab stuff. I live in the Seattle area, does anyone know where I could go or order online -- to buy a fabricated bezel that'd fit my screen (even if it hung low over the 3 knobs below) ?? I'd pay $$$ !

Is there anywhere that sells custom-fabbed stuff like that?

b-b-b-but it's not a very good screen... i'd probably get very little for it... it's only capable of 640x480 (!!), although it is capable of TV and has lotsa different types of inputs...

Anyways, where can I go (online or seattle area) to order custom fabs or get the LCD installed?

..... there's an extended long-winded excuse (has to do with me buying it where i used to live, a long way from "civilization" where any LCD is amazingly hard to get), but basically because i'm an idiot.

No point trying to install it?

If you have a brandnew car, then i wouldn't do it. Might as well get a good screen. you dont want indash??

i definitely want in-dash, b/c i can't see any other options that'd work!!!

What LCD would you buy if you had a 2005 matrix, and you wanted in-dash? And, where would you buy the custom fabbed thing that goes aronud it?

Go on ebay and search for Sp-716.. I have this screen and its great.

[edit] Matrix owners - what's the best ebay-buyable or cheap touchscreen i can buy for in-dash installation for 2005 matrix? Best would be if there's a custom bezel-thinger like below that I can purchase that fits with the LCD you suggest (pic stolen from Matrix_24's thread)

If that is the pic fo your dash piece, then that's just a 7" lilliput.
