Talking i've gone and done it now..

    just ordered my opus 150...

long time reader, long time procrastinator.. finally purchased almost everything to make my carpc happen!

so yeh just thought i'd drop in and say hi and tell you a little about me as I'm sure i'll be asking you all a lot of questions soon...

anyway im from sydney, australia, and drive a 2005 nissan xtrail.

specs for system so far are:
    DFI 855GME-MGF Pentium M mobo
    1.4Ghz Celeron M 360J
    200Gb sata hdd
    256Mg RAM
    Opus 150w

Still deciding on the screen, the usual conundrum - xenarc or lilliput. xenarcs here down under are expensive... 700TSV is ~$700 australian. lilliput can be had for ~$300.

Anyway, thanks for all the advice i've gathered from you all so far!

    tim.

Yes thats the theory I finally took, if I start buying things I will have no choice but to do it =D

I grabbed a 250W PSU off here (used) and just ordered a 300gb HDD for $135 shipped O_O lol. SATA so limits my mobo choices (going m-atx) but should be doeable.

One benefit of starting to buy early, you can really hit the sales like that HDD amazing price lol =D Forgot to mention yes 7200 RPM and 19mb cache (or whatever that number is im having a brain fart)!
