2005 Ford Focus, Passenger Seat Wiring

I noticed under the passenger seat of my 2005 Ford Focus ZX3 that there are about 12 wires (of a small gauge)... I have neither power seats, nor windows, nor anything...

The only thing I could come up with that these wires were for is the Airbag Enablement for the passenger... What are the rest of these wires? Educated guesses are welcome

The reason I ask is I want to install my car computer under the passenger seat and it would be cool if i could just tap into ACC and 12V right there. From what i have read though i probably cant just tap in because i have to put a fuse near the battery for my 12v?

Also i was curious if a car w/o power anything is still wired for it? Like are there wires going into my doors for power locks/windows? I noticed what was at least a conduit for the wire, i dont know if there was anything in the 'conduit' though. (a conduit, to me, is just a tube for holding a bunch of wires)

I am a computer guy but i think its about time i learned a thing or two about cars (at least the electrical seeing as how i have an computer/electrical engineering degree)

chances are (at least my guess) is that the wires are for either the passenger seat airbag system as you suggest, or for a heated and/or power seat option. most modern cars are all done the same until the final options phase. normal/heated/power seats; power windows/locks etc. The wiring should be all there.

You would probably be better off running a dedicated fused line to your electrical system since you mentioned they were a smaller awg. wire. Besides, there might not even be a live connection in your fuse block for these missing options. Take a look there for any missing fuses labeled passenger SRS (Supplimental Restraint System) or seats, windows etc.

You might also try cross-referencing the molex connector with some online or dealership OEM seat upgrades if you can find them. This way you can see better if the heated/power seat plug on the upgraded seats look like they might fit the plug that you have. That would identify it immediately.

i think you are on the money with your educated guesses. well i dont know of any ford focus heated seat option. but who knows.

Ghias have heated seats. There are two buttons on the center console near the hanbrake.

I have an Escort, and although I don't have airbags in the seats or heated seats, there are some wires under there. You'd be better off leaving them alone.
Wire the pc straight from the battery, with an inline fuse, close to the battey. Don't tap into anything.

Also, if you actually have the seat out of the car, it might help people on here if you post a picture of what you are seeing.

i know that the wires are linked into the seat belt, which when you take the seat belt off the light will flash on your dashboard.
a quick question i would like to know is, is it possible to by anyway lower the passenger seat on the ford focus x reg range?
