    motherboard on trunk???

    hi.. i been planning to put a pc in my car for a while now.. still havent started.. was wondering..

    if i put my motherboard and hard drive with the power supply on the top part of my trunk then hide it with a cover with maybe be a couple of small cooling fans.. would it be ok?

    I wouldn't recommend it. The shock caused by slamming a trunk closed is not good for any of the components (PCB's, hard drives, etc). And if you have a heavy heat sink, it makes things even worse by causing huge stresses on the motherboard. Also consider that trunks are not insulated; the trunk lid will get very, very hot in direct sunlight, and may cause heat related problems even with cooling fans.
