Thread: Introducing myself.

Whats up? Ive been a broweser of this forum for about 2 months and decided to join because ill be starting my project soon. Im new to the carputer world but not to car audio in general. I used to have a 97 s10 that took 5th place at usaci world finals in 0-300 consumer sound quality, and a 94 beretta that I used to do SPL with in MECA and SLAP. I did usaci once and took home a 2nd place midwest finals and various other finals tropheys but nothing too big. It was a daily driver so I had to keep it reasonable and driveable but I managed 145s with a single 12 and 1500w with everything in my trunk and a back seat.

Ive got a 2001 Mustang GT that im looking to put a car computer in. Ive got some mods done to it but ill leave that out unless someone asks. Ive got an amd xp 1600, 60gb hd, 16x cdrw, dvd, 512mb ddr, ect... desktop that ill be using soon. Its just the desktop so ill have to be converting it so its usable in my car and ill probably be going with the liliput 7" TS in my dash. Ive learned a lot from just being a snooper but I joined in hopes to learn a lot more and mabye get some questions to specific questions that I cant find via the search function. Ive been a member/moderator/admin of a lot of forums so I wont be needing the "newbie" talk that includes searching for threads, behavior, and all the other stuff they get yelled at for.

Im still trying to get an idea of all the better programs you people use in the cars so if im online and you see me, chances are im in there trying to scoop up more information. Id like to get iguidance GPS for nav and im still looking around for the front end id like to use, among other programs. Ill be running XP.
