need help hooking up to my r33

k i need some help i want to use a car pc to control my r33's vitals(air/fuel etc.) and i have no idea where to start as far as parts to interface w/ the ecu or what software to use....help

Im assuming that your not in the US seeing that you have a R33 Skyline (unless you imported it?), so I dont know how much of this would apply to you but hope this gets you started. First are you going to be heavily modifying for performance at all? If so then the answer is easy. Get a standalone ECU like the AEM EMS and you will have no choice but to have a PC hooked up to it whether via laptop or PC.

Check if your car has OBDII.

Plms develpments has the consult interface for 150 or so AU dollars. It will work with all rb ecu's except the cifero. it will give real time data from every sensor, and if you get an eprom emulator you can do live editing of fuel timeing as well as control how long your injectors are open, and tons of other stuff.
