    Another introduction and parts check...

    Hello all.

I have a 1995 Tahoe I will be putting a carputer into. I plan on getting an 8 inch screen, and molding it into the dash. The Chevy dashes are flat so it should be very easy, hardest part will be relocating the headunit and HVAC controls. I want to keep my headunit for its EQ and Crossover options. I plan on buying the Pioneer deal that puts an aux input into my 860mp.

I plan on putting the puter in the console or under the passenger seat. Either would work, but I like the center console idea better. Ill mold the slimline dvd/cdrw into the dash under the screen. I will build a custom center console to mount the headunit and HVAC controls down below the dash in the center.

Other wise, I think I am plenty prepared, but just wanted to check my parts list. Ive only included major things, all adapters and other cables have been considered.

This is my list of parts:

    >VIA EPIA M10000 Mini-ITX Main board
    >BU-303 GPS Receiver
    >OPUS Solutions 150 watt power supply
    >Lilliput 8" VGA Touch Screen TFT LCD Display
    >Panasonic Slot Load DVD-ROM/CD-RW Combo Drive 24x24x24
    >Kingston HyperX 512MB 184-Pin DDR SDRAM Unbuffered DDR 333 (PC 2700)
    >TOSHIBA Slim line MK8026GAX (HDD2191) 80GB 5400 RPM 16MB Cache Notebook Hard Drive

Your hardware should be fine. I just wanted to comment on your choice of audio. Not often you find an ED fan. great stuff
